Choosing the Right Affiliate Program

So Many affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose? Raise questions first before you join an affiliate marketing programme. Do a little research about the selections of program that you propose to join into. Get some answers because they’re going to be the deciding point of what you’ll be achieving later. Will it cost anything to join? Most affiliate marketing programmes being offered today are completely free. So why accept those that charge you some dollars before joining. When do they issue the commission checks? Each program is dissimilar. Some issue their checks once a month, each quarter, and so on. Decide on the one that’s suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate marketing programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or surpass for their checks to be issued.

What’s the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based primarily on all associate statistical data. This factor is important because this could tell you how much traffic you should generate before you can earn a commission from the sale. How are referrals from an affiliate ’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You must be assured on the program enough to trace those folks you refer from your internet site. This is the only real way that you can credit for a sale. The period that those folks stay in the system is also significant. The reason being because some visitors don’t buy at first but may need to return later to make the acquisition. Know if you may still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day. What are the categories of associate stats available? Your selection of affiliate marketing programme should be capable of offering detailed stats. They need to be available on the web anytime you make a decision to check them out. Consistently checking your individual stats is significant to understand how many impressions, hits and sales are generated from your website.

Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your internet site.

A success is the one clicking on the banner or text links. Does the affiliate marketing programme also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It’s critical that impressions and hits are also paid, as this may add to the takings you get from the sales commission. This is particularly crucial if the program you are in offers low sales to be in a position to hit proportion. Who is the web retailer? Find out whom you do business with to grasp if it is actually a solid company. Know the goods they are selling and the average amount they’re achieving. The more that you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate marketing program, the less complicated it’ll be for you to grasp if that program is actually for you and your internet site. Is the affiliate an one tier or 2 tier program? A single tier program pays you just for the business you yourself have generated.

A 2 tier program pays you for the business, and it also pays you a commission on the on the sales made by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying little charges on each new associate you sponsor. More of a recruitment fee.

Ultimately , what’s the quantity of commission paid? Five percent – twenty p.c. is the commission paid by most programs. .01% – .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid isn’t much in the slightest. As you can see from the figures, you may now see why the average sales amount and hit to sale proportion is important. These are only some of the questions that required responding first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be acquainted with the various significant aspects that your selected program should have before combining them into your site. Try and ask your associate program selections these questions. These can help you choose the right program for you site from among the various available.

wp-o-matic

Headspace2

CformsII

For Automated RSS content I use WP-O-Matic and for managing my titles and descriptions I use Headspace2 (which is the most important plugin as far as I am concerned)

and I use CformsII for my mail forms. It is a large plugin but it is well worth it.

My 7 Day Supercharged Internet Marketing Plan

What I am about to show you took me years to develop.  I started my internet marketing adventure nearly 12 years ago and I have never looked back.  I have seen many changes in Search Engines and have had my share of problems making money online.

Before I get started with my tutorial series on what I call my “Supercharged” seven day marketing program, I want you to understand that what I do and show you may not have the same results. There are just way too many variables / Niches / thought processes that may or may not work the same way.

With this said, I think you will see that it is highly possible that you can earn good money from this technique and spin this in any way that you like, be creative as you wish.

So, Lets get started shall we?

Day 1

As I look back at all of this, Day 1 was always the hardest for me. because I had to pick a niche, and I had to install my website. Since that time I have gotten the process down so good that Ill share with you what I have learned day by day and when posted:

1. We must have a product to sell before we start anything else. This process should not take you more than 2 hours to complete. Today, I use Google Insights and Google Trends to pick my markets. I never dwell too much as I want this process to be as painless as possible.

Google Insights:

2. After I see a market that has potential using the Google tools, I will search for any online forums that are related to the market I have chosen. What I am looking for is a anything that will fill a need or a void for people in this related market.

3. A good example could be the Golf Market. After searching some Golf forums, I found that a large percentage of users were complaining that they were “shanking” the Golf Ball and that they really needed something to keep their shoulders square while hitting the ball.

Just by visiting these forums I now had a niche! Now, I just look for a product that will help Golfers keep their shoulders square.

(I did not mention that when searching for a market, you should have some interest in the niche you choose or it will become very hard to maintain your business when you start to lose interest. You may even stop what you started simply because you lost the drive needed to finish.)

4. Now we are ready for a Domain name and a hosting account. I get my domains from Namecheap.com. I dont use godaddy anymore unless I absolutely have to. More on this later. I used to be Supersticious about having a keyword in the domain name, but I try using a generic name now. I just feel that the titles and descriptions are much more powerful.

5. Get your Domain name, and set up a hosting account. this is the end of day 1. Ill get into Wordpress and how to use it on the next post.
