Three Tips To Help Your Worpress SEO
We all know that in the beginning, WordPress was meant to be a blog. As dynamic as it is, Wordpress needs some special attention when it comes to SEO settings.
Here are three tips that you just cannot do without:
Permalinks
The first thing you should do after a Wordpress install is change your permalink structure. You can find this on the left hand side of your dashboard in the “settings” menu.

Click on Permalinks and then under the common settings, click the radio button marked “Custom Structure”

In the field type /%category%/%postname%/
This will change the path to a more search friendly URL.
Next,
Install a plugin called headspace2. What this plugin will do is amazing. The plugin allows you to set your product or most important keyword in the “site Name” module and then you can add your title. Headspace2 This is the most important plugin that you need as far as search engine optimization is concerned. The best part about this plugin is that it is free. You can find it here: Headspace2
To properly configure this plugin after you install, is to first activate headspace2 and then look under the settings menu and click on the headspace link.
You will now see the Headspace | Page settings page.
Click on “page Modules”

Here you will see three window panes named “Simple” “Advanced” and “Disabled”
Move to the “Disabled” Pane and locate the “Site Name” module. Use your mouse to drag the module above the “Page Title” module in the simple pane.
Once you have completed this it should look like this:

Thats it! You are done with Headpace2. Now everytime you post a article in Wordpress, you just type in your site name (important keyword) and then a page title and then a description. This is a very powerful SEO tool.
The next best tip is to expand the ping list found in the settings menu under “writing” and paste the list of RSS feeds that you can below:
